How BloomGuard works on pests, fungi, and mites

BloomGuard’s neem oil base works primarily by coating the bodies of soft-bodied insects and disrupting their ability to breathe, feed, and reproduce. Crucially, it also contains azadirachtin — a natural compound that acts as an insect growth regulator, preventing juvenile insects from maturing and reproducing even if they survive initial contact. This breaks the pest lifecycle rather than just reducing current numbers. The potassium bicarbonate component raises the surface pH of leaves on contact, creating an inhospitable environment for fungal spores and disrupting the cell walls of established fungal colonies. Rosemary oil specifically disrupts the neurological function of mites, making it highly effective against spider mite infestations that have developed resistance to synthetic miticides. How to apply BloomGuard correctly

BloomGuard comes ready to use in a 32oz trigger spray bottle — no mixing required. Shake the bottle well before each use. Spray thoroughly on all surfaces of the plant, paying particular attention to the undersides of leaves where pests, mites, and fungal spores typically concentrate. Apply in the early morning or evening when temperatures are below 90°F (32°C) — applying in hot midday sun can cause leaf burn. For active infestations, apply every five to seven days for three consecutive treatments to break the pest lifecycle. For preventive use, a monthly application during the growing season is sufficient to keep common problems from establishing. Do not apply to drought-stressed plants — water them first and allow them to recover before treating.
